The all new Wedge line upgrades the previous range of Wide Point boards. These boards have a pro performance and feel without compromising stability or volume. We were blown away by the performance capabilities of the Wedge. The board feels a lot smaller and compact than the specifications make it out to be and this is because of the pulled in tail, consistent rocker line, bottom contours and the thinner rail pro le. This 9’2” Wedge demonstrates the best hiding of volume we’ve yet experienced, both on sight and on the water. In surf with some energy, the easy take-off gives way to a smooth, rail-engaged bottom turn happily free from the clatter and excess speed that trouble some wider surf shapes. The tail response is light and the Wedge responds like a board 20 litres smaller. This board is a wave-burglar without equal. NARROW NOSE OUTLINE

The narrow nose outline helps you generate speed, limits the nose from catching through turns and fits in tighter pockets in the wave.

THIN RAIL PROFILE

Thinner rails on the 8’7” and 9’2” gives the Wedge its pro level performance with faster surfing speeds, better grip, and turning capabilities. The thinner rails are inspired by the much loved Longboard range for the ultra-responsive and reactive feel.

MONO CONCAVE

Generates lift, drive and speed as it channels the water from nose to tail, through to double concave for sensitive rail to rail turning from the midpoint, through to vee tail for reactive pivot turning on the tail.

ROUNDED PIN TAIL

The Wedge has a new rounded pin tail to maximize the turning ability in these wider models. The pin tail makes it easier to engage and sink the tail for faster bottom turns and top turns with more drive. Rounded tail also gives the board a better drive out of the turns.

FIN SET UP

Thruster fin set up provides comfortable straight line tracking on flat and gives drive and control in surf.
8’7″ features both thruster and quad. Quad fin set up uses 4 side fins and gives fast acceleration and instant down the line speed as it does not have a drag from the larger centre fin.

NEW SELF-VENTILATING VALVE

A self-ventilating air valve is available on the board. This valve is self-ventilating so, it should not be touched or removed – otherwise, you are at risk of damaging the valve system.

STARLITE

THE STRONGEST RAIL EVER TESTED

• Ultra-durable, scratch and impact resistant woven 200g twill azure rail protection.

• The combination of twin T-stringers deck and bottom to protect against total breakage. The T-stringers are positioned close to the rail working like an i-beam to endure heavy drops and strong wipeouts.

• Starlite now features a full deck of 0.6mm Australian pine wood which is sandwiched between 2 glass outer skins, increasing the overall total breakage strength and reducing the weight due to lower resin absorption.

A favorite in the testing and development, it turned heads with its control and responsiveness. The 9’2” is so much more responsive to turn as the thinner rails requires less foot pressure to initiate turns. Ultra reactive and sensitive.
